It's Beginning To Look A lot Like Christmas:)

Well I am in full Holiday Cheermister mode around here:)
I am pretty much decorated inside, I am going to work on the outside
next week when we get back from New York:)

The weather has been kind of crazy around here!  Today was 68!!
Usually we are in the low 40's!

Well enough about the weather on to the fun stuff!! Christmas decorating
in the living room and down stairs bath room!!

Here is our living room tree before the decorations:

Here is after the deco mesh, ornaments, and ribbon
were added!  I love how big and full
it looks!

The piano kind of serves as our mantel since
we don't have a fire place so it is filled with holiday
decorations!  I filled the amber candle holders
with silver and gold ornaments instead of candles, I think it
gives it a dimensional look.

This is cabinet is on the other side of the tree, I just
took a two tier basket stand and filled it with ornaments and
then just added more fun tree with glitter of course:) !!

Here is another Santa in the living room area.
You can never have too many Santas!

Moving right along to our down stairs bathroom!!

I am really excited about this space because I have never
decorated our bathrooms before:)  I went with a gold
and burgundy them to match in with the other accessories that
are already in this space.

The Santa in this picture is my Home Goods buy of the day the
other week:)  He was only $4!!!

This next tree is one of my favorite because my Mom
let me use it this year!! I think she is supposed to be
"Mother Nature" :)  She is too cute!!  Just added a Joy themed
ornament to give her a little bling!

Another little display in the bathroom window.

This is one of my favorite areas!
I filled the star with greens, candy canes, and berries!
I think it matched in nicely with the other colors and added a little
something behind our washer and dryer.

So are you getting your house ready for the holidays?
Next up is my outside decorations and then moving onto
getting things ready for my "Girls Holiday Party:) "
Please stop back often and leave the name of your
blog, I love to look at every one's holiday creations!!

Happy Holidays!

Christmas Dining Room! & We got our Real Tree

Well after sleeping in late today, I feel like I got a lot
accomplished!  We even went and got our real tree since next
weekend we will be in NYC to see all of the beautiful decorations
and do some sight seeing!! I can't wait:)

Well I have a lot of pictures of how I decorated this year so I
will break it up in a few posts.  I am really happy with how everything turned out:)
Here is where we got our tree.  It is a Christmas tree farm
right around the corner from our house.
It is a tradition for us to take our dog, Jackson along to help
us find the perfect Christmas tree and I think this year he
out did himself:)

Here is Jackson and Sean with the tree we picked.
It really doesn't look that big compared to the others
but when inside it is huge!!  It takes up one whole side of our living room :)
Big is Beautiful right?? :)

Here is a before shot of my dining room:
A clean slate:)

Here is the after shot:)
I went for a blue and green theme in this room with touches of gold.
The Santa in this picture was my inspiration for the color scheme

The Gold Charger below became a cheap display item for this table.
I got it for $1.00 at Walmart and then just added a decal that said the
"The Gathering Place" in green to match in the other decorations on the table.
Super easy and only cost about $4.50 to make!

Here is a close up of it!
I love how nice the green and gold go together.
The green glitter trees are from Celebrating Home and the
gold are from Christmas Tree Shop.  I love all of the glitter in this
room!  You should have seen my face after I was done decorating!

I absolutely love this Santa and got him for only about $14 after
all of my Michael's coupons!  I sometimes wish they would stop sending them
to me!  I feel like I have to use them:)

Here is a close up of the dining room tree.

And finally my dinning room table.

Well I hope enjoyed the dinning room tour:)

Next up the living room & bath room trees:)

Happy Holidays!

Thanksgiving Table Setting!

Since we are having Thanksgiving at our house for our
Moms I wanted the table to look pretty!

Here is a view of the table before I got started.

After adding all of my Home Goods decorations:)
I think it came together nicely!

I am on the hunt for a table cloth but haven't had
much luck since this is a square table, it does expand but
we rarely use it that way so that is why I would like to find something
that fits nicely on a 48" X 48" table.
If you have any suggestions of where I could look please
leave a comment:)

In the middle of the table I filled a lantern with pumpkins,
gourds, and leaves to give it a festive look.  I love all the
things you can do with lanterns for every season.  Next
I just added a pretty bow to the lantern to give it a pop of color
and finished off the middle of the table with a Harvest plaque!
Each guest also received a pumpkin on their plate for added flair:)
I love these pumkins and have used them all over our house!
They are from the Celebrating Home Fall catalog:)
My hubby even helped with placing the silverware!
I think he did a pretty good job:)
For my first real tablescape I think it turned out pretty good!
Well I hope you and your family
have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Stop back tomorrow to see who wins the ribbon giveaway!!
You have until midnight tomorrow to enter!
I will announce the winner on Thanksgiving!

I will be posting my first table scape with
Between Naps on the Porch!
I just all of the ideas you get there!

Best wishes!

A Trip to Christmas Tree Heaven!! Valley View Farms!

This past Saturday we took a trip to
Valley View Farms in MD, and if you LOVE Christmas
this is the store for you!

They have tons of trees decorated!  Each in a theme, there
really is something for everyone!

I took tons of pictures to share with you and for
me to get good ideas for my own tree!!  This is perfect timing since
our tree is going up next Saturday!!  I am so excited!

I hope you enjoy the pics and that you also get some ideas
for your own tree and house!

This tree here is at the front of the store, I love the colors and
especially the ribbon!  Below is a close up of how they
did the loops in the ribbon.  It looks a lot simpler than trying
to tie a bow on the tree!

I just love the loops and how pretty all of the colors
mesh together!  You know I will be
trying this on my tree!

They must of had about 40 4ft Christmas trees on display
in different themes!  This one I thought was cute for a
little girl's room.  It was call the "Best Friends Tree" :)

This one here was one of my favorites!
This picture really doesn't do it justice but if I had extra
room and more importantly time:)  I would so do a tree similar to this one!
It was called " Girl's Night Out"
It had everything from high heeled shoes on it to
margarita glasses:)  I loved the topper!

Next up was a more traditional style and themed tree:
"Burgundy & Gold"

Listed below is "Purple Passion"!!!
This tree is absolutely beautiful!!  I really don't
associate purple with Christmas but this tree was gorgeous!!!
If you are looking for speciality ornaments and can't seem
to find what you want than a trip to Valley View might be in order!!

I would love to have this for a front yard but at almost $1,000!!!
I guess I will have to pass or get a lease on it:)

I wonder if they finance sleds and reindeer?? :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Do you Wear Everything In Your Closet :) ?????

Shopping in Your Own Closet?

I know it sounds crazy.......... right?  Well in efforts to save
money for Christmas and to clean out my closet I am going to give this a try!

Well it is definitely not as much fun as going out and hitting the mall
but it does make you feel good about cleaning out and not
having to charge anything:)

As I was hanging up clothes the other night in our
closet I noticed that I don't wear 1/2 the clothes in there!
Well in my defense I do wear a uniform to work:)

I love buying new clothes but I got thinking as I was putting away
two loads of laundry:(  I should try shopping from my own closet!

You know look at each piece as though it was brand new and instead
of wearing it with that go to pair of jeans or the same sweater mix
it up a little bit and try new things!

Here are a few ideas of things you can do to mix it up!

* ACCESSORIZE:)

* Add a scarf!  I love to wear scarfs this time of year!
* Leggins!  I absolutely love them first of all and they can
go with a lot of different outfits!  Besides they are Comfortable:)
*Change out your purse/hangbag!  Most of you girls have
more than one!! Or should I say 100!
* Add a scraf to your handbag for a little extra flair!
* Wear a pretty pin or broach on a sweater!
* Fun Jewelry can really make an outfit!

Here is a picture of my closet: Don't mind the mess!

Now how can you say you have nothing to wear??? :(
I still have that problem but I am really going to give this a shot!

So do you have any go to Fashion advise without
breaking the bank?  Or maybe fun accessories to add to
your everyday wardrobe?

Please share!

Happy Friday Ladies!

will coordinate nicely with my other dishes.

Birthday Weekend Re-Cap!

Gotta Love Birthdays!
This weekend was great!
(Especially mine!)

I just love receiving flowers:)
My hubby and my mom both got me a bouquet!
They are toooooo good to me!

Well here I am on Sunday getting ready for the
Ravens vs. Steelers Game!

Me and my hubby before the game!
He is a Steelers fan so it makes for a long game:)

Now onto the fun decorating stuff!
I found my new love!! Deco Mesh!!
If you have never used it you will love it and if you
have you know where I am coming from!
:)
Here is a tree that my mom gave that
she used to keep all of her Rooster ornaments on it
but she out grew it! She has a lot!! :)
I decided to put this tree up in my Scrapbook/Craft room in the
attic where I like to spend a lot of my free time:)
It is a mess right now since I am working on a 100
different projects so when I have it cleaned out I will
take some pictures show you all of the decorations!
Here is the tree before!

I used both Green and Red Deco Mesh
and just created little "poofs" as I went down
the tree and secured them in the branches.
It was super easy!

Then I did the same process with this cute ribbon
which I got from Sam's Club!  They have an awesome
selection of ribbon right now!  It is only $7.98
for 50 yards of Ribbon!! That is a great deal!

I added a bow at the top and then
a snow flake topper to add to the colors of the tree!

Then onto the fun decorations!!
My Grinch Ornaments!
I actually had too many for this tree so I will.
have to add them onto my big tree in the living room or
my other tree for my dinning room!  Yeap we
are doing three trees this year:)

This Ho Ho Ho ornament is actually the wood letters
you can buy for scrapbooking that I just glued a hook to
so it could be used for an ornament, at only $0.19 each that isn't too
bad, especially if you are looking at doing a themed tree idea cheap!

Above are some of my Grinch ornaments!

I had such a wonderful birthday and received so many
nice things and so many nice comments
from everyone so "Thank You" again
it really made my day!

I really got everything I wanted and more!
Also my hubby is taking me to NYC
the first weekend in December to see the
lights and Christmas tree!
I am soooooooooooo excited!

Thanks again for stopping by and don't forget
to leave a comment I will be pulling a winner of the
Celebrating Home giveaway this Friday 11/11/11!

Happy Holidays!
