Our Real Tree & Give Away!

Hi Ladies!!
Happy December to You!  In honor of
Christmas I would like to do a little giveaway!

Here's the scoop:
You need to be a follower of Mrs. C with style and then
just leave a comment with what your favorite colors are to decorate
with for Christmas!

How easy it that??? !! :)
The winner will receive a total of 25 yards of holiday ribbon,
1 roll of red deco mesh, and a pretty photo ornament!

I will draw a winner out on Saturday December 15th!

So are you getting ready for the holidays??
I am happy to report that I am 85% done with
my shopping:)  So now I can enjoy all of the fun stuff like
parties, Christmas cookies, wrapping presents, and  my
FAVORITE!!  DECORATING! :)
We now have our real tree up and decorated!
Here is a picture of me with our furry son Jackson :)
He goes along every year to give his approval on the perfect tree
and this year he didn't disappoint!

Below is a naked picture of the tree!
Just like most of us we feel more comfortable
dressed up :)

Now with adding deco mesh to a real tree it can be a little more
difficult since you don't have the branches to weave the
deco mesh into.  So I found the easiest way to
attach it to the branches is with pipe cleaners.  They are pretty
inexpensive and come in a bunch of color to match your
color scheme!  I actually cut them in half so you get double
the quantity!

So here she is once the mesh is added.
I did the same technique with adding the ribbon and used
the pipe cleaners to add it in the branches.

The flower below is probably my favorite decoration on the
tree next to my Grinch Ornaments!
I love how fun and whimsical they look!

Here she is looking big and beautiful!
I love all of the fun colors!

Just a close up of the flowers on the tree!

I wanted to share these bell ornaments with you
because they were such a great deal and add a lot
of flair to the tree!
I purchased them at Target for only $1 each in there
fun section that is usually right inside the door!
It gets me every time :)

The snowman hat tree topper idea came to me after my
visit to Valley View Farms.  I didn't really want to spend $30 for
a topper so I looked around and found this cute hat at
Boscov's for only $5 and it lights up!  I think it is to be used
as a table decoration but you can really use it for other things!
Here is just a little display area above a cabinet I have in my
living room.  You gotta love the Grinch!

Here is one of my lanterns I have filled with ornaments and pine cones.
The picture frame beside it is just a little project I made this week.
I used scrapbook paper and a vinyl decal I had bought some time ago.
This would be something fun you could make if you own a Cricut machine!

Supplies Used:
Picture Frame, Scrapbook Paper,
and a vinyl decal.

Here is a close up of the finished project!

Finally one last picture to leave you with!

Silver and Purple & Silver & Blue Trees!

Well I hope everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving and
got to spend some quality time with their families!

Over the last couple of days I have been off work on
vacation which has been AWESOME and it has allowed me
to get a bunch of projects completed and a lot of my decorations up
for Christmas and Fall themed items put away:)

This past week I have completed a silver and purple tree for
my office area and silver and blue tree for my guest bedroom.

I am really excited with how these trees have turned out!

Below is a before picture:
She is looking pretty sad :(

Sneak Peak of some of the pretty colors!

Here it is!  This tree is
is the corner of my office area.  I have this room decorated
with kind of a vintage feel so I think it goes well with the other decorations.

Below is just a close up!  One of my favorite ornaments
on this tree is the pair of silver glittery heels:) My mother-in-law
gave me this ornament last year and I love it :)

Here is a just a little swag I added to a shelf in this room
to kind of tie everything together.

Now onto my guest bedroom area!
I did this room in silver and blue with touches of green!
I really like how well the Santa matches the decorations and then
I just filled a lantern with left over bulbs for a little flair :)

Below is a picture from the door way.

Below is a picture of all of the goodies
on the tree!  I love a full tree!  Let's just
hope it doesn't fall over! :)

Well thank you so much for stopping by!

Gold, Green, & Leopard Tree & Garland!

Well it seems like I have been on a roll
with the garland lately and wanted to share another
finished holiday project with you:)

My dining room was gold, green, and blue last year and I really
liked it but I got an awesome deal last year on red and green bulbs
at Sam's and wanted to make my main tree those colors so I had a a lot of
left over gold and green items so I think that is going to be my theme this year!!
Yes hunny I said this year:) Love Ya!!

Any who I think I am going to re-use all of my silver and blue items
in my upstairs spare bedroom! :)

That will be a whole other post!

Last year at my work they were going to throw away this
tree so I decided to rescue it:)  It isn't perfect but it is a 6.5 foot
pre-lit tree so I decided by the time I got all of
my deco mesh, ribbon, and ornaments on it, you really couldn't
see any of its imperfections:)

Below is the before picture of the dining room.

I used gold and bronze deco mesh with leopard
and bronze ribbon.  Here is a picture once the
deco mesh and ribbon was added.
It really fills out the tree nicely.

Below is a picture of a candle ring/swag that I got on  sale
the other day at Christmas Tree Hill for only $3.99.
I thought it would be a fun addition to the top of the tree!

Here it is with our gold star we have used for a couple
of years now.  I think it make the top look full and
add some fun flair to the tree :0 )

I always like looking for different toppers or
fun elements to add to our trees.

I also added flowers.

Here is the finished product!
I think the colors really blend well with our dining room.

Here are a couple pictures of the buffet table.
I tried to incorporate the same ribbon and green
flowers into the garland.

Here is a picture of the whole table.

Just another shot of the room.

Well that is tour of the dining room tree and decor:)
I hope you enjoyed and maybe got an idea for your own tree.

Check back later this week I will have 4 more trees to
share with you!!

I will be linking up with these awesome blog parties this
coming week!

Also there is a Christmas Tree Contest happening over at A Whimsical
Christmas and I would love for you stop by a vote for your favorite tree!
I will be entering this tree in the contest:)
