Weekend Projects!

Here is my first project.
I picked up this mail organizer the other day at a
garage sale for $0.50 and it just didn't match my color
scheme in my scrapbook room so I decided to get out the
black spray paint and go to town on it!

After:
I like the black finish much better:)
Here is a a little embellishment shelf  I had in my scrapbook
room that just didn't seem to match with everything else so I fixed
that with a little black spray paint!

After:

I got the little shelf listed below at a garage sale
for just a $1.00 and put it our bathroom.
Not a bad deal!

Happy Tuesday!

Honeymoon Pictures!

Well I finally have some honeymoon pictures for you!
Wedding pics will take a little longer we are waiting for our disc
from the photographer:(  Oh well I am sure they will be worth the wait!

Now I will have plenty to scrapbook!

Here is a picture of the airport we flew into.
I think this might be the smallest airport I have ever been to but it was very easy
to get to and from!

I just love all of the beautiful plantings that Sandals have on their properties.
This is the view as you enter the property.

Above is a view from our room!  I could get use to that every morning!

Me enjoying some sunshine:)

I thought this fruit display was so pretty!  I believe this was at breakfast.

This is my new house!  j/k :)
We actually got invited to a special dinner at the Manager's house
and I couldn't help but to take a picture of it.  It was absolutely beautiful
inside and out, not to mention being right on the golf course!!!
The dinner was amazing and it was nice to venture off the resort.

Two years ago this resort hosted the "Big Break" golf challenge.
It was really neat to be able to play on the course where the show
was hosted!

Here we are in front of the "Shark Shack"
This course was designed by Greg Norman "The Shark"!

I had to show you this picture..........
I hit this within 6 feet of the hole for a birdie!!!
Did I mention this hole is on the ocean!

I really liked this picture of us!

Here is another view from one of the holes on the ocean!
This is definitely my favorite course I have ever  played at!

We had such a nice time here, I can't wait for our next vacation!!

I guess we better start saving:(
I would love to go to St. Lucia next year,
has anyone ever been?  If so did you enjoy it?

Happy Wednesday!

Almond Pound Cake Trifle

Tastefully Simple Almond Pound Cake Trifle!

This is the dessert I made over this past weekend to take to
a Memorial Day party and I was pretty happy with how it turned out!

I think this might be a good recipe for 4th of July also with the
pretty colors!

This is a picture of the finished product!

The top of the layers.

Here are most of the ingredients used.

I made it using all low fat products to cut down the calorie intake:)

I used the Tastefully Simple Almond Pound Cake for the base
and then layered it with strawberries and blueberries.  Also used beteween the
layers was vanialla pudding and cool whip.  (yummy!!)

Here is the complete recipe:

Absolutely Almond Pound Cake
3/4 Cup (1-1/2 sticks) meleted butter ( I used Light Butter Bonnett)
1 cup water
3.4 oz box instant vanilla pudding
1-1/2 cups milk
8oz thawed whipped topping
2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
1 cup blueberries if you desire!
A few extra strawberries for garnish

1. Prepare Pound Cake recipe according to the box
2. Combine pudding and milk, whisk 2 minutes; fold in whipped topping.
3. Make 3 to 4 layers of cake cubes, pudding mixture and Sliced Strawberries
and blueberries in a clear glass bowl.  Cover, chill 1 hour. Garnish with additional Strawberries!

Hope you enjoy!
This was a huge hit at the party I attended:)
