Happy New's Eve!!! Feeling Creative :)

Happy New Year's Eve!!

Can you believe how fast this year went by!!

Just a couple of months ago I was planning a wedding and now
Christmas has come and gone!

2011 was a great year!  I look forward to starting the New Year
with a bang:)

So have you thought about what your New Year's resolution is going to be?

I have been thinking about a couple but they say it is
better to stick to one and no more than three :)

I wouldn't really call mine resolutions as much as I would call them goals!

I would love to the lose that last 5 pounds but wouldn't we all :)
Next up I would like to be credit card debt free:)  This is a big one for me
and I am proud to say I am on the right track!
Over the last two months and even over Christmas I have not used my cards!

Well last night I was feeling my creative juices and was actually able to
get a little scrap booking in and finished two pages!

These two pages were from my "Ghoul's Night Out" Halloween party!

I think they turned out pretty good!
All I have to do is finish my journaling on the one page am and I can file
it away in my scrapbook:)

Today I cleaned the house top to bottom one more time while
the Christmas decorations are still up.
I plan to take everything down next weekend!  I am kind of sad that
Christmas is over, it such a pretty holiday and just make you
feel good but all good things must come to an end:)

I was at Ross yesterday and score some very pretty pillows
with the gift cards I received from Christmas!! I just love that
store!!  Below is a before pictures of our sectional with our old pillows.
I thought they were nice two but with two big dogs the
pillows in this house take a beating!! :)

Here is a couple of pictures of the new pillows!
I just love the colors and textures and how
well they match with everything in the room!

Well I hope everyone has a safe & happy New Year!
I look forward to hearing what your resolutions are for the New Year
and sharing more creations with you in 2012!

Happy New Year!

Christmas Table Setting for 3!!

Since it was just going to be me, my Mom, and Sean for
dinner on Friday night I decided to set our smaller table in the kitchen area
instead of the large dinning room table but I still wanted it to
be festive so here is how it turned out!

I think it looks pretty!  Very simply but pretty and I used
dishes I have had for years!! Total bonus!!

My Mom got me a ton of baking and home good products so
I will definitely be doing more entertaining in the near future.
She also got me two gift cards!! Both to my favorite stores!!

Home Goods and Ross!!  I think she and I might be
doing a girls shopping trip over that way to see what we can score!!

Sean was so sweet and thoughtful in his gift! Just love him!
He bought me the most beautiful pair of diamond hoop earrings!!
I have wanted a pair for a long time but never expected that he
would get them for me for Christmas:)

He was so cute and wrapped up an empty box to through
me off and then made me go on a scavenger hunt through our Christmas
tree!!  He had them hid in there for a week!

I guess you can say I used a lot of deco mesh!!  I couldn't even find them:)

Happy New Year!

What a Wonderful Christmas!!!

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday!!

I know we did!! I think this might have been the best Christmas ever!!

We were very busy over the last four days and celebrated each day with our family!

I wanted to share some of the great pictures we were able to capture with
each side of our family!

I can't wait to see every one's pictures!

Here is a picture of Sean and I at our house on Christmas.
In the evening we spent this time with Sean's Mom and really had a wonderful time!

I thought this was a nice picture of Sean and his Mom:)

These pretties are a present from Sean's Mom!!

They are so pretty and very comfortable!

I love Lindsay Phillip shoes, they are so much fun!!

See the flower on top you can actually change them out with other
cool "shoe jewelry" to go with your outfits!!  They have a button kind of clasp to
hold them on!!

To go along with that theme she also got me this cute ornament!!

On Monday we spent this time with my side of the family.
My sister took this cute picture of us in front of our tree!  I really
think it came out cute!  She would make a good photographer!

I thought this one of my Mom, Brother, and me turned out nice!
I think my brother is almost taller than my Christmas tree:)

My brother-in-law is also a big Ravens fan so
we thought we would get a nice group photo of the "Ravens Fans"
VS. the "Steeler Fan:)"

I thought this made a nice family photo of my dad with
girls and their husbands:)

I think we really got some nice pictures this year!

I have a lot more to down load from this weekend so
I will be back with more and more presents that we got!!

Our families and Santa were too good to us this year!!

I hope you were able to spend this holiday with
loved ones!

Happy New Year!

Fun Christmas Games to Play at Your Parties this Weekend!

I thought I would share a couple of games to play at your upcoming holiday
parties! I use these a lot at my parties and they are usually a big hit
with everyone especially the kids!

Please feel free to email with any questions that you may have:)

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN
Give each guest a sheet of paper and pencil. Ask them to sketch Santa Claus while following
your step-by-step instructions. Sounds easy? It is, but there’s one little catch - they must close
their eyes while they do it!
Draw a circle (his body)
Draw a smaller circle (his head)
Draw his left leg
  Draw his right arm
Draw his nose on the head
Draw his boot on the left leg
Draw his right leg
Draw his eyes
Draw the sack beside Santa
Draw his beard
Draw his boot on the right leg
Draw the left arm
Draw a present in the sack
Draw gloves on his hands
Draw a hat on his head

Score points as follows:10 for legs in right place;
15 for nose on the head;
20 for boots on the legs;
25 for eyes on head;
30 for the sack;
35 for gloves on hands;
40 for the present in the sack;
40 for both arms attached;
50 for the beard on his face;
75 for the hat in the proper place.
Total the points and award a gift to the guest with the highest score!

SNOWMAN GAMEHave guests follow these directions:
Draw a circle the size of a half dollar in the middle of your paper
Now you’re drawing Frosty the Snowman, so you need to make one larger and one smaller circle
to complete the body.
Put two eyes on his head
Give him two arms
Give him a carrot nose
He needs a broom to hold
Go back to his face and give him a big smile
He needs buttons down the front give him 3
Finish by putting a hat on his head and a pipe in his mouth

Score points as follows:
5 points if all 3 circles touch each other
5 points if his broom touches anywhere on either arm
5 points for each eye in the smallest circle
5 points if the smile touches the small circle anywhere
5 points for each button in the middle circle
5 points if the hat touches his head anywhere

Wrapped Christmas Presents!

Well I feel like I have been wrapping for days:)
Well actually I have been:)

Here is just what I finished wrapping last night:)
I was trying to give each person a special bow and use
up some of my ribbon!  I think they turned out pretty good!

I love the Fa La La Wrapping Paper:)
It was a better quality paper and was very easy to work with!
I think I am going to go out after Christmas and replenish my stock:)

I really liked how this one turned out!
It is a popcorn machine with all the goodies!
I thought the popcorn bucket would go well with their
present!

I thought I would share a picture of my two helpers:)
(Not really helping!!)
Between them taking off with the wrapping paper and chewing on it
and rolling in the tissue paper I am surprised anything got wrapped!

Don't the boys look handsome in there new Christmas bandannas:) ?

So are you ready?

she got home:)

Here is my Mom proudly showing off her ornaments! :)

I loved my Aunt's Grinchmas T-shirt!!

We were joking around after everyone left that we are going to need
larger wine glasses to survive the holidays!!! :)

Santa Wrapped Hershey Bars!

Hey ladies are you looking for a fun and inexpensive
gift to add to packages or to give to your kids classmates?

I am having a Christmas party at my house this Saturday and
plan on using these as my favors!

I was able to use a lot of scraps from my stash so I didn't really have
to spend any money on these besides the chocolate bars which were
on sale the other day 3 for $1.00!!

The piece of red card stock will actually be your wrapper.
I cut that piece at 5-1/2" by 5-1/2" and attached it to the
back with adhesive.

The next piece will be the white card stock which you
will need to scallop with a border punch or if you don't have one
I don't think it would look bad not scalloped.
This piece I cut at 2-1/2" wide by 5-1'2" long.

You will then want to make Santa a belt:)
I cut a piece of black card stock 1/2" wide by 5-1/2" long
and attached it to the back of the candy bar with adhesive.

For the buckle you can kind of use your imagination or what ever
supplies you have.  I just cut two squares out of black and yellow card
stock and layered them on top of each other.  The yellow square should be
slightly larger than the black.

And the last step is the buttons which I punched out
with a 1/2" circle punch from the dollar section at Michaels!!

I made about six of these in 15 minutes so this might be a fun way to
wrap up some last minute gift favors to go along with a gift card
or to give to your mail man:)

Listed below are just a couple more pictures of the supplies
and steps as I went along through the project.

Well I found this cute idea from another blog site and attempted to give them a
try!  The name of her blog is:

Stop by and check her out she makes some really neat
projects!

I hope you enjoyed this cute holiday project!

Deco Mesh Cupcake Wreath!

Who doesn't love cupcakes??

My girlfriend is a pastry chef and absolutely loves
anything with cupcakes on it so I decided to make her a cupcake
deco mesh wreath for Christmas!  I tried to use a lot of fun colors that
were not typically used at Christmas so she could put it out for  a longer
time period.

I started with a styrofoam wreath form and just covered it with a
fun pink glitter ribbon!  She loves pink so this should be a hit:)

Here is a picture of the supplies I used:
Green & Silver Deco Mesh
Pink Glitter Ribbon
Floral Pins to hold the deco mesh in place
Cupcake ornaments to go on the wreath and
some other fun picks to add some jazz to it:)

Here is a picture after the ribbon has been added.
I think it actually looks kind of pretty with just the ribbon
on it!

Here is a close up of the ribbon and the floral pins,
you get the pins at pretty much any craft store.

Below are a few photos of the wreath after the deco mesh
and ribbon were adhered to the styrofoam.

Next I just hot glued the cupcakes, ornaments and present
to the wreath.

And here is how it turned out!
I hope she likes it.  I think the colors are fun and could be used for
other occasions besides Christmas!

The "Noel" is just and an ornament the I attached with
a floral pin so you can remove it when Christmas is over and
maybe re-use this wreath for a birthday or I think it might even be
fun for Valentine's Day!

This is just a lid to an old box that I had in my craft room
that I hot glued to the styrofoam.

Just a close up of the cupcake!

Well I feel pretty today :)
One more project completed!
Cleaned the entire house!
Wrapped a few presents.
Hung the outdoor decorations (I will show those to you later!)
and now I am taking a few minutes to relax!!!

So is everyone getting ready for the holidays?
Anyone having a holiday party?

Please tell!
Happy Holidays!!

New York City Weekend!

Well we are back from New York City!!
We had such a nice time.  The weather was perfect for December!

I have never been in the city for the holidays so this was definitely an experience for me!
I don't think I have ever seen so many people in one spot:)

The decorations around the city were so beautiful and festive!

Here are a few pictures from our trip!

This picture is of me out the apartment we stayed in.
The view was very nice!

I loved these big strand of lights!

Here is a picture inside the New York public library.
This building is absolutely beautiful and they had it decorated so
pretty for the holidays!

Of course the famous tree at Rockefeller Center and tons of people!!!
I don't think I have ever seen that many people in one spot!!

This is where we ate breakfast at on Sunday morning!
Pershing Square.

I know we are cheesy!!

Here is the famous bridge in Central Park!
I love all of the pictures they have of this bridge throughout the year.
I actually have large framed picture of it in the winter time I believe it was
taken back in 1961.  It is just amazing to see all of the buildings
and how they fit so much into one city!!

Just wanted to share our weekend with you and wish you a
Happy Monday!!

Happy Holidays!
