Cricut Vinyl Project

Well I am happy to report that one more
project has been tackled this past weekend!

It seems like lately I have been in a little bit of a slump
as far being motivated to finish some of
the projects I have started!

However I feel pretty good with what
I got accomplished!

Today's project is from my wood pallet wreath display
project shown below.

My original plan was to make a sign out of this
but I decided to use it for a Christmas prjoect first!
Now that the holidays are over I am back on track:)

So with the help of my Cricut machine, vinyl, and discounted
paint from Home Depot I have now have a
finished sign!

BTW!  If you are ever in need for paint for a small project
check out the Oops section of the Home Depot paint
department!  I go there a lot to try out different colors
without spending a fortune on a whole gallon especially
when I have a small project like this one!

So here is what I started with:

I used my Cricut machine to cut the vinyl and
adhere it to the wood.  I tried to use stencil letters but since
the wood was kind of rough it just didn't turn out
as nice so needless to say I had to repaint the who think
again!  Lessoned learned!

Once the letters were positioned on the sign I took my
.50 paint from Home Depot and painted over the
entire project.  After the paint had time to dry I went
back and peeled the vinyl up and was left with this beautiful
saying!  I think that with this color scheme and not using
a smooth surface gave the sign a rustic/vintage look to it!
I really love how it turned out!

I was thinking about adding a Chevron print
border to the bottom and top of the sign, I will keep
you posted:)

So what have you created lately?

Since today is a snow day here in Georgia,
I think I might tackle a couple more projects like
my closet!! Yikes :)

Have a great week!
Mrs. C
