Neighbor Gifts - Jar Gifts

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
I know we did:)  Today's project comes to you a little
late for this holiday season but thought it was too cute
not to share!  I wanted to make something for my neighbors that was both personal and fun!  Most of our neighbors have kids so this project worked out perfectly for them as well.

What I made was Christmas Pancakes in a Jar!
So easy and inexpensive, a winning combination :)
I was able to make 6 gifts for around $30, $5 each really isn't bad for a handmade gift that is personalized!

Here is a list of what I used to make this project:
(1) box of pancake mix makes (2) Jars
(1) bag of chocolate chips or M&Ms also will make (2) jars
(1) sheet of tags (makes 4)

Below is the link of the website in which I printed the
tags!  She was my inspiration for this project!

I bought the smooth base jars from Hobby Lobby last week when they were 50%!  Woot Woot!

To give the jars a little flair and a personal touch
I added a Christmas Tree and their last name to
the center of the jar with vinyl lettering which I cut out
with Cricut machine!  I think that I have used my Cricut more for vinyl recently than any other project!

Below is a close up of one of the jars that I
did with just a "Merry Christmas" greeting.

The final project finished with the goodies inside!

I think this is a great project that could be used for multiple
holidays and gift ideas.
*Christmas
*Easter
*Welcome Gift- Neighbors
*Get Well
The possibilities are endless :)
Well I don't know about you but I am excited for the new year!  I have already started to make a list of projects
and personal goals that I would like to
achieve in the new year!

Merry Grinchmas Cards

Merry Grinchmas to You!

I don't know about you but I LOVE the Grinch movie
and all of the adorable characters!  Of course my favorite is the Grinchso this year I decided to some Christmas Cards in his honor!

I spent a little time on YouTube looking for a good
tutorial to use so I could get some good ideas and below is the videoI used for this project!  I think she gives you some helpful hints for those of
us who may not be as artistic as others :)
I am talking about ME!!!  I can't even draw stick people
well:)

Here are the supplies I started with:
My Big Shot
Stampin Up Punches, & Card Stock

To save time and keep an assembly line going
I cut everything first!

And the final project!!
I added a pom pom to his Santa hat
for an added dimension.
I really love how he turned out!  He is so
fun and whimsical!!  How can you not LOVE
The Grinch :)

Pallet Wood Sign Wreath Display

Today's project was both easy and cheap!  A winning combination
if you ask me!!!  I started with an old pallet and just cut the
boards to the same length.  Then added two strips of
wood to the back to fasten all of the boards together.

After the boards were nailed together they formed3
a square board like the one below.

After two coats of paint I finish with a beautiful
wreath hanger for above my fireplace!

I believe I make a similar project but actually
use it as a sign and put a saying on it:)
Just one more use for those old pallets!!

Well we are down to the wire now!!
ONLY 5 DAYS until Christmas!!

Happy Holidays!

Holiday Home Tour!

Well I thought it would be nice to do a Christmas tour through our house!  I think my favorite area is our dining room because I really love how it turned out this year with the green and gold color scheme:)

Below is our tree in the dining room:
Here is our buffet table decorated with garland to match
the tree.

On the table I filled my old strawberry box
with candles and greens.  I think it just adds an extra little something to the table!

Also in the dining room is the book page wreath I made this year, I love how it looks on the mirror.

Below is a picture of my Grinch tree in our living room!

I really like the tree topper this year!

I wasn't sure how I wanted to hang a wreath
over our mantel so I decided to make a
wood sign without any wording and attached
the wreath to the wood.  It looked a little boring
so I added JOY letters to give it a little pop!

In my scrapbook room I did a medium size
tree in a vintage theme to go with the other
decor in the room.  I spend a lot of time in this room
and it always puts me in a good mood to see the
tree lit for Christmas :)

Trunks in the craft room decorated with
a banner I made.

This year I did not do a tree in the guest bedroom
but instead just a small table scape in the same
color scheme.

Now to the outside decorations!!
I love the traditional feel of the wreaths on the windows
so that is what I started with and built off of that.

I really love our front door!  The wreath
was a present from my Aunt and I just love
how it fits perfectly on our door!  I think next year I
might do a little bit fuller garland but for now
it looks fine!

 Sled with ice skates

Lamp post with garland and bells!

Old boxes turned into presents :)
For the bunch I just added a string of lights
with garland to give it a little holiday flair.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ice Ice Baby ~Ice Skate Arrangement for Sled

Well first of all I would like to send out a big thank you to my
Aunt Bonnie for giving me these ice skates last year!  I have been
looking for a pair for a couple of years and she surprised me last year with this pair!
I have been looking on Pinterest for arrangement ideas to add to the
skates and found several I liked so I thought I would give them a little
flair for this year's sled display!
Below are pictures of the supplies I started with:

Now onto the fun pictures, the finished product!!!

I really like the snowflakes!   I think they add a fun element
to the display;)

Now below is a picture of my babies in front of our door:)

Frosty The Snowman Deco Mesh Wreath

Well we are officially into December and into the Christmas Season!
I am so excited! We just finish decorating our house this past weekend and I
just finished writing out my Christmas cards so I feel like I have a good handle
on this holiday so far :)  Check back with me close to the 15th!

Today I wanted to share a wreath I made a couple weeks ago with supplies
that I got on sale last year at the after Christmas sales!  I got most of the supplies
at Sam's Club.  I am a little disappointed because they don't have the tree
picks this year!  :(
Below is the supplies I started with:

Added the deco mesh to the work wreath :

This picture below is not the best and doesn't do it justice but I
was in a hurry to finish because I had it sold and they were on their way
to come pick it up:)  I really love the color combo on this wreath, it could
almost pass for a Georgia Bulldogs wreath :)

Well I hope to be back later this week with more projects!
I have been so busy trying to finish all of them that I have not taken the
time to post anything :(  BAD BLOGGER!!!
Too much Christmas Cheer I guess :)

Check back later this week to see my Home Tour of Christmas
decorations!

Happy Tuesday!

Book Page Wreath!

So after spending hours on Pinterest, just like most of you:)
I have finally got my creative juices flowing and now
have a completed project!

So what you will need is an old book, a stapler,
tape, a piece of card board, and a lot of patience or chocolate!

I wanted my wreath to be pretty large because I wanted to put it
over our fire place for Christmas so that is why I choice an old dictionary
to use for the pages.

You would need to tare out the page from the seem of the book, I know
it sounds really terrible but I hate to say it I don't think this
dictionary has been used in quite sometime :(

You will need about 120 cones!!  Yes, 120 :)
I rolled all of my cones while watching The Voice so just
keep that in mind!

Check out this link below to watch a video on the
rolling technique and to see this beautiful Book Page Wreath!

So here is my completed project! :)
I have to say I am pretty pleased with how it turned out!
The wreath is huge so it will work nicely above the fire place this year for
Christmas!

Below are just a couple more views of the wreath:

Well one Christmas project down, only 99 more to go :)

Thanksgiving Table & Hobby Lobby Hual!!

Well we are officially one week away from Thanksgiving!  It just
seems like last week was Halloween!  I am happy to report that I scored some awesome
deals at Hobby Lobby yesterday on their Fall markdown selection!
80% off Fall decorations and deco mesh!  Yeah!!

Since I picked up some new tableware at this sale I decided to change up my
table scape for Thanksgiving!

Below is a picture of my table earlier this month:
It was pretty and simple but I just felt like it needed a little more!

Below are a couple of pictures of the items that I got on the sale!
SCORE!!

Now onto the fun part, the new table scape!!
I still used the antlers and candle holders because I felt is added some height
to the table and gave it just a little more flair!

Here is another view of the table.

Just a close up of one of the settings.
I just love how colorful these plates are and since I got a great deal on
them they look even better :)

Hobby Lobby also had all of their Fall floral stems and
flowers on sale for 80% off so I was able to get a couple more picks
for my trunk that I wanted to add some Fall Flair to!

Here is the trunk with just some simple greens in it.

Now she can celebrate Turkey Day in style!

I love Fall colors and how they really make a home
feel warm and cozy!

Quick Tip Tuesday: Boot Shapers

You can tell it is really fall, everywhere you look all you
see is boots!!!!!!!!!!!  I can't help it, I just love the look!

I may or may not have a little bit of a boot obsession!!!
:)

So to keep my boots in nice shape I looked into to purchasing
the boot shapers that you can find at stores like Bed Bath and Beyond,
however at $10 for each set it can get a little pricey!

Especially when you have 12 pair of boots :)
So instead of spending $120 I went around the house and gathered up
all of my old magazines that I wasn't reading anymore and instead
of throwing them out I was able to give them a new function!!

(Boot Shapers)
Below you can see how the top portion of the boot is just laying over and making
creases in the boot which will cause them to wear more quickly.  All you
need to do is is roll up the magazine and run tape around it to make
it in a cylinder shape.

Much better, right? :)
Here is a close up of the magazine inside the boot.
Easy and free, now that is my kind of project:)
