Book Page Wreath!

So after spending hours on Pinterest, just like most of you:)
I have finally got my creative juices flowing and now
have a completed project!

So what you will need is an old book, a stapler,
tape, a piece of card board, and a lot of patience or chocolate!

I wanted my wreath to be pretty large because I wanted to put it
over our fire place for Christmas so that is why I choice an old dictionary
to use for the pages.

You would need to tare out the page from the seem of the book, I know
it sounds really terrible but I hate to say it I don't think this
dictionary has been used in quite sometime :(

You will need about 120 cones!!  Yes, 120 :)
I rolled all of my cones while watching The Voice so just
keep that in mind!

Check out this link below to watch a video on the
rolling technique and to see this beautiful Book Page Wreath!

So here is my completed project! :)
I have to say I am pretty pleased with how it turned out!
The wreath is huge so it will work nicely above the fire place this year for
Christmas!

Below are just a couple more views of the wreath:

Well one Christmas project down, only 99 more to go :)

Thanksgiving Table & Hobby Lobby Hual!!

Well we are officially one week away from Thanksgiving!  It just
seems like last week was Halloween!  I am happy to report that I scored some awesome
deals at Hobby Lobby yesterday on their Fall markdown selection!
80% off Fall decorations and deco mesh!  Yeah!!

Since I picked up some new tableware at this sale I decided to change up my
table scape for Thanksgiving!

Below is a picture of my table earlier this month:
It was pretty and simple but I just felt like it needed a little more!

Below are a couple of pictures of the items that I got on the sale!
SCORE!!

Now onto the fun part, the new table scape!!
I still used the antlers and candle holders because I felt is added some height
to the table and gave it just a little more flair!

Here is another view of the table.

Just a close up of one of the settings.
I just love how colorful these plates are and since I got a great deal on
them they look even better :)

Hobby Lobby also had all of their Fall floral stems and
flowers on sale for 80% off so I was able to get a couple more picks
for my trunk that I wanted to add some Fall Flair to!

Here is the trunk with just some simple greens in it.

Now she can celebrate Turkey Day in style!

I love Fall colors and how they really make a home
feel warm and cozy!

Quick Tip Tuesday: Boot Shapers

You can tell it is really fall, everywhere you look all you
see is boots!!!!!!!!!!!  I can't help it, I just love the look!

I may or may not have a little bit of a boot obsession!!!
:)

So to keep my boots in nice shape I looked into to purchasing
the boot shapers that you can find at stores like Bed Bath and Beyond,
however at $10 for each set it can get a little pricey!

Especially when you have 12 pair of boots :)
So instead of spending $120 I went around the house and gathered up
all of my old magazines that I wasn't reading anymore and instead
of throwing them out I was able to give them a new function!!

(Boot Shapers)
Below you can see how the top portion of the boot is just laying over and making
creases in the boot which will cause them to wear more quickly.  All you
need to do is is roll up the magazine and run tape around it to make
it in a cylinder shape.

Much better, right? :)
Here is a close up of the magazine inside the boot.
Easy and free, now that is my kind of project:)

Busy, Busy!!

These past couple of weeks have been so busy
that I am just now getting some time to get a post up and finish
a few projects around the house!

First of all my birthday was on the 7th so I had to take some time
to celebrate!  I wish I would have taken another picture
after I put all of my cards on the table but I forgot :(  Old age, I guess!
29 !!!!

The beautiful flowers are from my Mom:)

My BFF sent me this adorable edible arrangement!  TOO Cute!

We also had company in over the past weekend!
Sean's good friend from Ohio made the trip down to see us :)
I think they played something like 54 holes of golf in
two days!

I was able to update the wreath on our front door for
more of a Thanksgiving feel.  I made this wreath out
of supplies I had laying around on the house!  I love the
scarecrows in the middle!

And lastly what has really been keep me busy is that I went
back to work part time.  Over the last two weeks I decorated
our office at our new facility!  I think it really turned out nice.

This is our reception area when you first walk in.

Large accent wall where we are going to keep literature, stapler,
pencil sharper, etc.

This display is at the end of our
hallway.
This is our wall of clock from around the world and
shows the times of the cities where we will be purchasing
our products from.
I made the letters with my Cricut machine and vinyl!

Lastly is our kitchen area.  I put together a little
coffee station for when we have clients in to visit

Well I hope you will stop back later in the week,
I have started to get make some items for Christmas and hope to
get them posted this week:)
I am finally putting some of Pinterst inspiration into motion!

Happy Tuesday!

Country Living Fair at Stone Mountain

The other weekend we went to the Country Living Fair at Stone Mountain Park
here in Georgia.  I have always wanted to go but never lived close to any of the
locations where they held this event.

The fair was full of talented vendors and a lot of project inspiration!
I really loved their pumpkin and gourd display :)

Below are a couple of pictures from the fair!

I loved this table arrangement!  It really is warm and
cozy for your guests.

I am currently in love with the antlers that are being used in
centerpieces!  I am not sure why but they add such a cool and
rustic element to your table!

So when I came home from the fair I remember my hubby had two
set of antlers!  Thus the inspiration for my new table setting!

Here is just another view of the table.

I think it will really look nice when the table is fully set but since
we have guests coming in this weekend I didn't want to have to set it up two
or three times!

So if you ever get the chance to go to a Country Living Fair
you should try to make it!  However I now have an arms
length list of ideas that I would like to do!!

Happy Monday!

Candy Banner for Halloween!

Well can you believe Halloween is over and we are now into
November!!  Yikes, I just don't know where the time goes!

Even though Halloween is over I would still like to share with you
a simple and inexpensive project I made.  I wanted to add a little
flair to my candy display for Halloween so I thought a banner would look
nice for the trunk I wanted to use to hold all of our goodie bags!

The letters for the banner came from this awesome blog!

They let you print any combination of letters you want for FREE!!

Not to mention all of the wonderful, creative, and inexpensive ideas they have!!!!

Stop by and check them out for sure!

Ok so below is the letters I printed out for the banner:
"CANDY"
I did cut out around the letters so you didn't see any of the
white paper.

I attached each letter to a heavier piece of scrapbook paper,
distressed the edges with ink, and attached the letters with mini
close pins to a piece of string.  The other day when I was at Joann's
they had already started to discount their Halloween items to 70% off
so I picked up a nice heavy Halloween ribbon for $1.49 and used that here to
make bows for the banner!  Each bow received a little skull or hand to give it
a little more creepy feel:)

Below is the finished product filled with candy!!
All 150 bags and to think I needed more!
I will know for next year :)

Lastly I thought I would share a picture with you of what I dressed
up as to hand out candy!  Since Halloween snuck up on me this year I
just had to roll with what I had in my closet!
Hey at least I matched my DIY witches legs!!

Well I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween!

Thanks again to Shanty 2 Chic for making
this project possible!

Make sure to stop by their blog to check out all of their talent!!

Happy November to You!
